Needs Assessment
In the midst
of school reform and the requirements of No Child Left Behind, school districts
face the challenges of utilizing their resources in the most effective manner
to impact and increase student achievement. Learning Keys has designed a Needs
Assessment to assist district and campus leaders in meeting the
required expectations.
What is a
Needs Assessment?
A Needs
Assessment process reviews state assessment results, campus walkthroughs,
feedback from teachers, principals, and central office administrators along
with other pertinent district and campus statistics. This information is then
triangulated to develop findings and recommendations. The Needs Assessment
report outlines the data collected along with the findings and recommendations.
Recommendations
are targeted for implementation along with a suggested timeframe. These
findings can be used to develop district and campus action plans to direct the
instructional work. A Needs Assessment provides an efficient, data-driven
method to help districts prioritize their immediate areas of focus for school improvement.
The
district/campus report includes findings and recommendations in the following
areas:
· Curriculum and Planning
· Instruction and Assessment
· Professional Development
· Analysis of State-Required Student Standardized Test Scores
