She has 20 years of experience in public education as a teacher and administrator. Over the past few years, she has led teacher groups in vertical teaming and curriculum alignment. Tammy has also worked with educators in data disaggregation and differentiated instruction. Through the use of these processes, a comprehensive district plan and highly focused staff development student scores in the district have increased for all student groups. Tammy has experience in developing Prekindergarten and early childhood programs.
She has also assisted in writing grants that have been used to fund the initiatives needed to accomplish the work in the district. Her experience with utilizing Title funds along with grant funding has helped districts meet the NCLB requirements and achieve student success. Over the past few years Tammy has been working with districts across Texas, Arizona, Indiana, Washington DC, Kentucky, New York and Florida to replicate this successful process. She has spent several years working with Native Americans along with Catholic Schools.
Tammy can provide training in the areas of Curriculum Alignment, Power Walks (brief classroom visits), designing effective lessons, developing early childhood programs and coaching teachers to implement research based instructional strategies. She can also conduct Curriculum and Instruction audits to assist districts and campuses in determining the first step in developing the comprehensive plan.
